Homeschooling with Cozy Books

I’ve always been drawn to cozy books that reflect the joy and warmth of friendship, home, and hearth. Even as a child, those were the books that drew me back time and again. It’s always a happy day when I discover a new favorite book that fits into this category.

Because of that love for these books, I assembled a collection of the best cozy books so I could share with others.

Homeschooling with Cozy Books

This was originally a series called A Month of Cozy Books that I wrote for a month-long blogging challenge many years ago. Since then I’ve continued to add books and turned it into the Homeschooling with Cozy Books category.

As you go through the books I’ve recommended below, I hope you will find some wonderful new treasures to share with the children in your life.

Learning Ideas

I am slowly adding homeschool learning suggestions to these posts. Many of these ideas include printable products from my shop. My learning products are unique in that they focus on harnessing a child’s natural curiosity while also accomplishing necessary learning tasks.

The first list below features recommended books with learning ideas included in the post. The next two lists are books I highly recommend, but haven’t added learning ideas to the post yet.

Thank You for this list of A Month of Cozy Books. As an adult I enjoy reading children’s books from time to time. I just read your books for girls and tweens. I have a lot of these books and have not read all of them yet. Wishing you and yours a Blessed ,Happy and Peaceful 2019.

      Hi Marilyn,

You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed the lists. There is so much wonderful children’s literature out there to be found with a little digging. I still get a thrill when I find a wonderful picture book. I don’t think that will ever change.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Miss Suzy was my favorite book from childhood. I still have my copy! I fell in love with the idea of a doll’s house, and when I was 5, I received a dollhouse from my grandparents, built by my dad. I still have that too, and I’m 44!

      Hi Catherine,

Caroline and I have talked off and on over the years about making a replica of Miss Suzy’s treehouse, but never have. It would be fun to put together!

I like the idea of doing a dollhouse as well. We look at them at Hobby Lobby a few times a year, but have never purchased one.

I think it’s great you still have yours!

      Hi Danae,

I’m glad you enjoyed the booklist! I have another dozen or so books I hope to add very soon. I have the graphics made, but need to write the posts.
