Old Bear {A Month of Cozy Children’s Books}

Old Bear - A Month of Cozy Books 2

Old Bear by Jane Hissey embodies pretty much everything Caroline loves most in books, namely talking stuffed animals who go on adventures.

I purchased this book when I was teaching first grade, long before I became a mother. Bur I knew that Caroline would love it when I brought it out for her.

Old Bear

The animals realize that Old Bear has been gone a long time. He was packed away in the attic because he was quite worn and the children weren’t taking good care of him.

Bramwell Brown, Duck, Little Bear, and Rabbit decide that it is time to rescue Old Bear from the attic and bring him home. The book is full of their adventures as they try to help Old Bear.

The life-like illustrations are charming and cozy. It’s a sweet story of friendship, love, and perseverance. Old Bear definitely belongs on your bookshelf!

This is part of my A Month of Cozy Books series!

    I have an Old Bear like that. But my Old Bear won’t stay in the loft. He made that plain years ago, when my husband was working away. He came down from the loft and has never gone back. So all the other bears get to talk to him every day when we’re out. They’ve probably found out by now that I was just as batty before I met my husband. And just as much an arctophile then as I am now, too.

Chit Chat

~ Okay, I figured out the answer to my experiment. It took ten days of trying to figure out the root problems, but it came to me this morning. Answer is in motion at the moment even though you can't see it yet on the public side. I think it will make everyone happy. ♥

~ I'm in the midst of My Two Week Experiment so if things look a bit off from time to time with the website design or layout, that's why. Thank you for your patience!

~ Did you put on the Armor of God this morning? Ephesians 6:10-20
