This free snowglobe counting puzzle printable is a simple winter math activity for preschool and kindergarten children who are practicing number order from 1–10.

It is an easy, low-prep printable to add to your winter homeschool plans, morning basket, math center, or quiet afternoon learning time.

Free Snowglobe Counting Puzzle Printable

This printable features a cheerful snowman inside a snowglobe. Children cut the puzzle into strips and then put the pieces back together in number order from 1 to 10.

It’s a sweet and simple way to practice early counting skills without making math feel complicated or fussy. Sometimes a quiet little printable is exactly enough.

What’s Included in the Snowglobe Counting Puzzle

  • One snowglobe counting puzzle
  • Numbers 1–10
  • Winter snowman theme
  • Simple cutting lines for puzzle strips
  • Terms of use page

Skills Practiced

This snowglobe counting puzzle gives young children practice with several early learning skills:

  • Counting from 1 to 10
  • Number recognition
  • Number order
  • Visual discrimination
  • Fine motor skills
  • Scissor practice
  • Problem solving

How to Use the Snowglobe Counting Puzzle

  1. Print the snowglobe counting puzzle.
  2. Have your child cut along the horizontal lines, or cut the strips ahead of time for younger children.
  3. Mix up the puzzle pieces.
  4. Ask your child to place the strips in order from 1 to 10.
  5. When the numbers are in the correct order, the snowglobe picture will be complete.

You can also laminate the puzzle pieces or print them on cardstock if you want to use the activity more than once.

A Simple Winter Math Activity

This snowglobe counting puzzle is a good fit for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary children who need number practice.

It would work well for:

  • Winter homeschool lessons
  • Preschool math practice
  • Kindergarten number review
  • Quiet bins
  • Morning time
  • Math centers
  • Extra practice for children who enjoy hands-on activities

I especially appreciate activities like this because they combine several skills in one simple page. A child is counting, ordering, observing, cutting, and thinking through the picture as a whole.
