I found this recipe in the book (Electric Bread) that came with my bread machine. It is a good light wheat bread with almost no wheat taste. My favorite way to eat it is toasted and then spread with honey butter (see recipe at the end). So delicious!

Honey Wheat Bread for Bread Machines

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 and 1/2 cups white bread flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat bread flour
  • 1 tbsp dry milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp active dry yeast (use 1 tsp if you are using rapid rise yeast)

Directions

  1. Add the ingredients to your bread machine according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  2. This recipe can be made with the regular, rapid, or delayed time bake cycles.

Honey Butter

This is absolutely delicious melted on toast!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients together by hand.
  2. Store in refrigerator.

Enjoy!

    Hi!
I am new to the blogging world (found yours through my friend at The High Calling). I have been blessed by reading through your blog!
I don’t have a bread machine, but I LOVE baking bread!! I usually use all or almost all whole wheat flour. The honey-butter recipe looks yummy. I’ll have to try that.

Again, I just wanted to say that your blog has been a blessing to me, especially some of your archived posts on childlessness as that is what the Lord is bringing my husband and I through at this time. Many blessings to you and your family!
ps. your little girl is SO cute!!

Oh t h a n k s for this one! I love honey butter – there was a brand at the shops when I was a kid. But so far I have never thought about making it myself…
I do love my baking machine as well. This is so delicious and nearly without any effort.
