I previously covered how Calvinist parents would honestly talk about salvation with their children in Calvinist Couple Explains Salvation to Their Children. In this post, we’re looking at what Calvinists believe about babies (before and after birth), young children, and abortion.
What do Calvinists believe and teach about children? I have put together a collection of short videos that tackle this question. These videos are geared more toward people who have a solid grasp of Calvinism and its flaws. A few of them might seem a little cheeky. That doesn’t diminish the truth.
Before we begin those, however, I want to remind us all of what Jesus said about the little children.
Now people were bringing the little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.

The logical implications of Calvinism can lead to some disturbing conclusions. But if you point them out, then you are the bad guy.
Are babies innocent? What about original sin? Are babies damned? What about the aborted babies? Do the non-elect babies who die before they are physically born awaken for the first time in hell?
Does God love our children? Does He want our children to be saved? Or, when we look at our children, should we naturally wonder if God hates one, two, or all of them? Are they lost without any opportunity to put their faith in Jesus Christ?
