The main furniture and appliance store here in Cute Little Town celebrated their 75th anniversary a few weekends ago. They had a giveaway of all kinds of great prizes. There was a $2,500 shopping spree, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and probably twenty more items.
When David left to swing by the store and check our number, I said it sure would be nice to win the refrigerator or dishwasher. (The shopping spree is a given!) David checked the number we received in the mail to see if we won anything. We didn’t, but we deposited our entry in the second chance drawing.
A few days later I received a phone message that we had won the unclaimed dishwasher in the second chance drawing!
We really needed a boost like this. The past several weeks have been challenging and full of very large expenses. We haven’t had a dishwasher in over four years and I kind of assumed we would never have one again. It just wasn’t a priority.
In other words, way more fancy than we probably would have ever purchased. It even makes music. And the Flush Fit feature is really nice. If you are ever debating that feature, I recommend it.
All of our appliances are white and this is stainless steel. It’s not at all the design look we would have chosen, but we’re so happy to have a dishwasher again that we don’t mind in the least.
We did have to pay to have it delivered and installed which I thought was a little weird, but we’re still thankful for this unexpected blessing. ♥

Yes! I told David and Caroline it was good we won the dishwasher and not the refrigerator. We’ll always replace a fridge since you can’t live without it. You can live without a dishwasher so this was a nice gift to receive.
People joke about “somebody has to win so why not me” but it’s true! You can’t win if you don’t try!
