Well, I can tell you that because I’ve committed to posting this series that my Monday and Tuesday evenings have become much more productive. Knowing I have to write an update in 48 hours gets me moving on some of these. LOL! I think that’s what they call accountability.
So here is how I did. I’m making progress on some of them and I remind myself that I have the entire year. Slow and steady progress is what matters. (Although I do need to get cracking on a couple of them this week!)
Goal 1: Have 20 minutes of Bible, prayer, and quiet time each day.
- I read my Bible every day. I think I did a full 20 minute quiet time only 3 of the 7 days. Yes, I struggle with this when I am rarely alone in the house.
Goal 2: Read 20 books.
- I have a reading tickler list page that you can see. I’m still reading the same one as last week. I haven’t been reading books much. It’s crazy to think my goals is 20 books in a year when I used to read 2-3 a week.
Goal 3: Write 20 personal letters and send via snail mail.
- I have a bunch of notes to send out with Caroline’s school picture so that’s what I’m going to be doing after I post this. I’ll add them to next week.
Goal 4: Clean out, label, and organize 20 years worth of digital photos.
- I further organized 200ish photos and deleted 190 photos! Woo hoo!
Goal 5: Lose 20 pounds.
- No report – Good thing I have all year to work on this
Goal 6: Lose 20 inches
- No report – Good thing I have all year to work on this as well
Goal 7: Walk 200 miles.
- Haven’t started yet although we did thoroughly dust the treadmill and area around it so I’m good to go
Goal 8: Go on one bookstore/coffee shop night out each quarter as a family.
- Not yet
Goal 9: Find 20 new EoE-friendly foods and/or recipes for myself.
- Nope
Goal 10: Clear out the basement once and for all and finally have a crafting area I can use.
- I spent about an hour working on this including cleaning out some things and organizing all of my scrapbooking paper into new storage containers I bought at Hobby Lobby.
Goal 11: Increase our family income by 40%.
- Working on it
Goal 12: Reduce our family debt by 20%.
- Working on it
Goal 13: Create 100 new products for my shop.
- I have updated things to add to my shop, but haven’t put them in there yet.
Goal 14: Pin 10 posts, pages, or products from my site to my Pinterest boards 3 days a week.
- Done!
Goal 15: Add 20 new pieces of content to the forums each week.
- I added far more than 20 including two new posts to the Prudent & Prepared section as well as some new comments in there.
Goal 16: Learn how to process and watermark photos for my site.
- Not yet
Goal 17: Create 1 product all by my big self (as little Caroline would say).
- Not yet
Goal 18: Add 20 unit study posts to my site.
- Not yet
Goal 19: Record and release 10 podcast episodes.
- Not yet
Goal 20: Leave 10 comments each week on other blogs.
- Sigh, no. I’m still behind on replying to comments on my own site.
Overall, I’m pleased to be making progress on some of the projects. I’m only two weeks into the year and there is still a lot of time to pick up steam in the weeks ahead on others.
How are your 2020 goals coming along?
