This Homeschool Mom Has Senioritis

Last week I finally realized what I was feeling.

I have some form of low-grade senioritis.

Remember that from high school and/or college?

I remember that feeling. That desire to be done. To get to the end.

I have it.

I told Caroline I have senioritis and she didn’t know what it was. (She’s truly divorced from the reality of institutional schools.) I explained it to her.

She said she doesn’t have it. (She’s not in any particular hurry to be “an adult” at this point.)

I have it.

It’s not making me slack off on my responsibilities, but I can feel that overwhelming desire in my breast to be done. You know that feeling?

Is this something good homeschool moms admit? Is it okay to say that you are really looking forward to being done?

It might make me a bad homeschool mom to say it publicly. But it’s the truth.

However, the first week of October is a bit early to have senioritis.

We had a good fall break last week and now it is onward to Thanksgiving break. LOL!

I was soooo looking forward to being done. The last year was very hard because I was already done at the beginning of the year. I had senioritis bad. So I understand where you are coming from.

Thanks, Kris. I’m sure we aren’t the only two to feel this way. But I don’t think most moms admit it publicly. LOL!
