Is it time to add some fun to your writing activities? Did you know my site is full of creative writing prompts for kids in a wide variety of seasons, holidays, and topics? I’ve put them all into one easy-to-use post so you can find just the right ones. I’ve also included some writing related products that we’ve enjoyed and that I believe can motivate young writers.
My Favorite K-2 Journals
We used these Mead Primary Journals when Caroline was younger and we both loved them!
There is room for an illustration at the top of each page. (Very important!) And there are just enough lines to write something but not have it be overwhelming for a young child.
Mead Primary Journal Creative Story Tablet, Grades K-2, Case of 6
When we started with these, Caroline dictated to me and I wrote everything down. We used them like a daily journal and she LOVED going back and reading what we had written earlier in the year and during the previous years. Eventually she wrote her entries herself. They could also easily be used for creative writing and stories.
Notebooking and Writing Themed Pages
Creative writing flows with colorful and fun pages for various holidays and seasons. Some pages have titles for writing suggestions and others simply provide a colorful layout.
