I would guess most of the women who read my blog are well acquainted with history. Either they read historical fiction, they have homeschooled many years of history, or they simply enjoy it as a subject in and of itself. Because of that, I also would guess that we as a blog community have more than a passing knowledge of what life on the homefront was like for women. Whether it was the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War 1, or World War 2, we all have a feel for what it entailed for the women at home.

Someday someone will be reading about our experiences as women on the homefront during war. Have you made that realization yet?

I know many women have withdrawn from reading the news and following current events in recent months. It is like being hit with a tsunami of information every day. Some women have made the choice to greatly limit or even eliminate it from their life for their own mental and emotional health. I understand that choice and respect that choice. We each must do what we believe is best for our individual situations. For some it has meant withdrawal from the front lines. For others like me, it has meant staying engaged through Gab, Telegram, and my Current Events forum. I have felt called to do my small part and have done my best to faithfully be a part of the battle.

Today I would like to humbly ask you to allow yourself to enter the fray enough to understand what is going on at the moment by reading the rest of this post. I truly do believe it is in your best interest as you care for your home and loved ones.

One of the reasons the past two years have been so difficult is because we have been in a war. It doesn’t look like the previous wars that we learned about in school or we studied with our children. It doesn’t even have a name yet. But we are in a war on a worldwide scale. Unlike the kinetic wars with guns and increasing death counts of those lost in battle, we’ve been in a psychological and information war. Some call it fourth generation warfare and others call it fifth generation warfare. Whatever the label, it involves information, misinformation, cyber attacks, and social engineering.

Does that sound like the world in which we have been living?

The reason I’m addressing this is because it is imperative that you understand that we are in the midst of a psychological war. There is a reason that nothing makes sense any longer.

“All warfare is based on deception.”

We all must understand this because you cannot fight or pray against an enemy you can’t name and don’t understand. If you feel mentally worn out and fragile, there is a reason for it. We have been psychologically assaulted for a few years now. Everything has been turned upside down. The lies and gaslighting have been relentless. (If you aren’t familiar with the term, here is an explanation of gaslighting.) Those we would normally trust do and say things that confuse us. Instead of deception using inflatable tanks to make an army appear bigger as in World War 2, we are bombarded with other forms of deception from all sides. Information deception, video deception, statistical deception, and more that seems to never end.

For those of us who are Christians, there is another layer on top of it all. We are witnessing the outing of massive numbers of false teachers and unregenerate people in the church. Again, people you would have trusted five or ten years ago have been revealed to be wolves in sheep’s clothing. Every form of sinfulness has been openly embraced by so many who claimed to be Christians. I’ve highlighted some of the biggest ones in the Christian Faith forum. This, too, is psychologically difficult to reconcile. Betrayal from Christians we trusted is a deep wound.

If you have been disconnecting from news, you might not even be aware that there has been a forensic audit of the 2020 election going on in Maricopa County, Arizona, for the past several months. I have followed this story closely so I have a pretty clear understanding of what they did, who is involved, what to expect, etc. If you haven’t been following this story or you have seen it constantly downplayed by the press, then what I’m about to say might seem like hyperbole. I assure you, it is not. But here it is.

Once that report is released, our country changes forever.

One way or another, the release of that report this afternoon will be a marker in our country’s history.

We were already never going back to the way things were. It’s simply not possible. The world we lived in for the past many decades is gone. Completely gone. If you haven’t made peace with that reality yet, you need to start doing it. There is no going back to what we called normal. What we thought of as normal will not and cannot exist any longer. There is nothing anyone can do to change that. It’s truly gone. (Update: I discussed this in my video called Things Will Never Be The Same Again.)

The only thing we have now is what kind of country and world we will live in moving forward.

Either we get this right as a country starting this afternoon or we’re doomed to a very dark future.

I’m not exaggerating for effect. This is truly the bottom line.
