More Cozy Blogs I’m Reading

Three years ago I shared a list of cozy blogs I had found and followed called Cozy Blogs I’m Reading. I explained the whys and hows of the list in that post. In short, I was looking for real, old-fashioned blogs. Not sterile, professional, I’m-following-these-ten-steps-to-blog-success type blogs. The post was well-received and is still quite popular.

Here is what I wrote in part about my criteria:

It really didn’t matter to me where the blogger lived or what stage of life she (or he) was at. I didn’t care if she was married, single, divorced, or widowed. I didn’t care if she had kids in the home, no children, or grown children. I didn’t care what kind of schooling they did. I didn’t care if she monetized her site or not. All that mattered to me is that it felt real. And cozy.

I’ve found more cozy blogs since then and thought I would share them with you. As with the first list, I’m not going to make any comments about them so as not to put any expectations upon you. I’m also listing them in alphabetical order again so nothing is implied by the order in which they are listed. This list is a bit shorter than the original, but I wanted to share a new list of gems that are worth checking out.

As always, a link is not an endorsement of all the content. Blogs also change over time so be aware if you are reading this after the fact that some of these might have changed in ways I am not currently aware.

I hope you find some new reading you enjoy!

      Hi Mary,

You’re welcome. I laugh sometimes when I read your blog. We are so much alike in some ways it’s honestly funny. I haven’t met too many people online who have the exact same taste as I do in certain areas. It’s fun!

      Mary,

I know you took down your blog some time ago. I don’t know if you’ll get a notification of my reply to your comment here, but I wanted you to know that you and your blog are missed.

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.

countenance: To favor; to encourage by opinion or words; To encourage; to appear in defense (Websters Dictionary 1828)
