Little Miss Peanut – It’s A Girl!

Yes, we are having a GIRL!

I had my ultrasound this morning and the technician was very sure Peanut is a girl. She was an active little thing and the ultrasound went rather long.

In the end, the technician was able to get all the information, but could not get a profile shot. So I don’t have a picture to share today. We go back in two weeks for another ultrasound to get the final shots. (Oh, that’s too bad we have to go again!) Everything measured normally so as far as we are able to tell at this point, Little Miss Peanut looks to be healthy.

Last Saturday I got my first really good poke/kick/elbow and I can regularly feel her now, even when I am just going about my daily business. It certainly made it seem more real to feel stronger movement. Seeing her little arms and feet moving around today just increased it that much more.

So Mommy and Daddy are both very happy.

I cried when the technician said it was a girl and David got a little weepy, too. We are thankful for our Little Miss Peanut and look forward to meeting her for real this fall. This will be a very happy Mother’s Day for me this year and I am thankful to God for the opportunity to celebrate our little girl.

Thank you for your prayers and kind words of encouragement.

CONGRATULATIONS! How exciting for you! Now you can really start shopping and planning. There’s such cute girl stuff. But, you probably should throw in a couple neutral things just in case : 0

I KNEW the baby was a girl from when you first mentioned you were pregnant, even before you said you two had a preference. I just had a feeling. 🙂

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.
