In Aunt Lucy’s Kitchen | Cozy Book Review
In Aunt Lucy’s Kitchen by Cynthia Rylant is the first book in The Cobble Street Cousins, a series of six books about three young girls.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

In Aunt Lucy’s Kitchen by Cynthia Rylant is the first book in The Cobble Street Cousins, a series of six books about three young girls.

Little Bear’s Trousers by Jane Hissey is An Old Bear Story, part of a collection of stories about the adventures of a group of stuffed animals. I previously wrote about Old Bear in Homeschooling with Cozy Books. There is also Little Bear Lost.
Each book in the series has the same cozy, distinctive feel.

Old Bear by Jane Hissey embodies pretty much everything Caroline loves most in books, namely talking stuffed animals who go on adventures.
I purchased this book when I was teaching first grade, long before I became a mother. But I knew that Caroline would love it when I brought it out for her.

Bunny Bungalow by Cynthia Rylant (illustrated by Nancy Hayashi) is one of my favorite picture books. We happened upon it at a consignment shop and it quickly became beloved by all of three of us. It’s a simple story with charming illustrations that definitely belongs in Homeschooling with Cozy Books.

The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder is a must-read American pioneer children’s novel. It is one of my favorite novels in the Little House series.
