I suspect watching what happened with Hurricane Sandy was a big wake-up call for many people. For the life of me, I cannot understand why people didn’t make even the most basic preparations for that storm when they saw it coming two weeks out.
Although I’m not able to implement many of them in my real life, I love learning about skills of the past. Books that explain how our ancestors made the most of everything around them inspire me even today.
