I imagine most people are familiar with at least this part of the serenity prayer:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
I remember clearly when I purchased my first computer in 1996 and went online with AOL, one of the only ways to get online at the time. I remember when it was a novelty to see a web address on a television commercial.
I clearly remember life before the internet.
And sometimes I really miss it.
So everyone does Facebook. Or at least 150 million people do.
I looked at it once and thought, “The last thing I need is one more thing to do online.” Honestly, some days I’d like to disconnect from the internet completely.
I am a perfectionist, mostly recovered, but still one. The biggest reason I know I’m still a perfectionist? I’m also a procrastinator. Perfectionists are notorious procrastinators.
