Am I the only one feeling this way? I know the official start of winter is still weeks away, but like most folks I think of winter as starting the day after Thanksgiving because that is when we start to decorate for Christmas. This fall has been a bit of a blur in some respects. Some of our fall rituals never came to fruition this year because we were occupied with baby things. A good tradeoff, I would say! But I still find myself thinking that it can’t possibly be that fall is over already!
We had a lovely visit with my parents from Wednesday through Sunday for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was nice to spend time with them and other extended family. Grandma and Grandpa also did babysitting duties each day so David and I got another much appreciated break to spend time together alone and do some fun things together.
Now we’re home decorating for Christmas. David puts the tree together (artificial) and strings the lights. I do the garland and we put on the decorations together. I do most of the other decorating around the house and David takes care of the outside decorations. A division of labor that works to both of our strengths.
We have a big week coming up and I’ll probably write about some of that later in the week once things are sorted out.
Have a great day!

I so relate! I was outside getting cedar clippings for a garland, and I looked around at the trees (waiting for inspiration to strike) I noticed that the vine maples had dropped ALL their leaves! already?! then I remembered that its near the end of November. I feel like I missed fall this year. maybe because it didn’t get real brisk around here until mid Oct this year.
Hey and this morning it snowed! so fall is officially over for the year.

Come on down to Atlanta – we still have lots of color left! No real chilly weather, but Glory all around. Sallie, I love all the pics of Caroline. What a joy to watch her grow right before our eyes.
