Kidztype is a free website filled with typing games and activities for kids. If you aren’t familiar with the concept of touch typing, this video explains more about it.
The activities are not complicated so they will work well for independent learning which is a great bonus for homeschooling moms! Any time a child can be more self-directed in a learning activity is a win for mom.

There are numerous practice options so learners will have ample opportunities to develop their skills over time.

When your learner is ready to test her skills, you can click over to TypeDojo for a free online typing test. TypeDojo is a sister site of Kidztype and makes it easy to check how your learner is progressing. The various typing tests are also helpful if you live in a state where you need to specifically document progress in each academic area.
