Happy Birthday To Me!

Today is my birthday! I wanted to share the perfect-for-me birthday gifts I received from Caroline and David.

They love me so much they went to seven stores around the greater Grand Rapids area to find my favorite candy bars in stock. The Enjoy Life Ricemilk Crunch is the only candy bar I’ve found that I can eat and they are so good. Very sweet, but so good. I now have a little stash of 10 to last me for a bit along with my Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Morsels.

Caroline and David happened across the Conspiracy Theory board game while Christmas shopping. They thought it sounded like fun (and appropriate!) so they bought it for me. We’ve had a lot of fun playing the game after dinner during the winter months,

I was surprised how many conspiracy theories I had never even heard of. There were some I knew of but had never read anything about them. But there were many that were completely new to me. I need to take a few minutes and add some of them to my list of conspiracy theories and weird stories. LOL!

Anyway, all that to say that we’ve gone through all the cards that came with the original game so David and Caroline purchased the 2018 Expansion Pack for my birthday. There is also a Travel Edition that I imagine will eventually make its way into our home.

I’m very blessed to have a husband and daughter with whom I can celebrate my birthday and enjoy all the quirks of real life. God has been very good to me and I’m thankful. ♥

Oh Happy Day, Sallie! You are very blessed, indeed.

(I’ve never heard of those bars. I will have to take a look!)

      Hi Lauren,

The line of Enjoy Life foods is wonderful for people who have limitations in their diet. Pricey, but it gives people options they would otherwise lack.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

For 20+ years, I’ve been writing about following Jesus Christ and making choices based on what is true, beautiful, and eternal. Through purposeful living, self-employment, and homeschooling, our family has learned that freedom comes from a commitment to examine all of life and think for yourself.

I hope you will join me here where we discuss all of life each day.

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.
