Nike pulled from the shelves a special shoe released this week for Independence Day that features the Betsy Ross Flag. Why? Because Colin Kaepernick and other people he knows are offended by that particular flag and what he thinks it represents. It doesn’t matter if the flag represents something wonderful to tens of millions of Americans in this country. It apparently only matters what Kaepernick thinks.
To illustrate how ridiculous this is, I give you commentary by Timcast. If you aren’t familiar with him, he’s a prominent liberal YouTuber. I like to watch his take on things that concern the Left because he has no trouble pointing out the truth.
Like most reasonable Americans, he is dumbfounded as to why Nike would do this.

Have you ever listened to Timcast on YouTube? He’s interesting. It’s fascinating to watch him over the past few months wrestle with the lunacy in his party as the Left drives it so far away from the center that it is becoming absurd. He is currently a Gabbard or Yang supporter so he’s fairly liberal but hasn’t lost his mind. He can see that open borders and free health care for illegal immigrants is not a winning strategy for his party or the country.
He’s also had his videos demonetized by YouTube quite regularly for speaking out about certain topics so he’s wrestling with the free speech thing as well as he’s being directly impacted by it.
