One Red Apple is a gorgeously illustrated book that traces the life cycle of an apple tree. Written by Harriet Ziefert and with paintings by Karla Gudeon, the book is a visual feast.

As we head into the season of sickness, this is a perfectly cozy book to have on hand! In Don’t You Feel Well, Sam? by Amy Hest, poor Sam is sick on a cold night on Plum Street.
