My brother recently mentioned bedeviled bacon on Gab. I realized that he didn’t give the full list of ingredients the way my mom made it so I typed them up to share.
This bedeviled bacon combination of ingredients might sound strange, but it is so good! It really is addicting!
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp cider vinegar
- 4 slices bacon
- 3/4 cup cracker crumbs
- Preheat over to 400 degrees.
- Slightly beat egg.
- Stir in mustard, cayenne pepper, and vinegar.
- Dip bacon in egg mixture and then in cracker crumbs.
- Bake on cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
Tip: I have not made this in a long time, but I think I remember putting aluminum foil on the cookie sheet for ease of clean-up. Turn up the edges of the foil a bit to catch any of the bacon grease that will accumulate while cooking.
