During the summer, David and I began laying the groundwork to publish some of the Grace Livingston Hill books that have moved into the public domain. I chose five of my favorites from the first few dozen to start this labor of love.
We’ve only been able to work on them off and on around David’s main work, but we were able to devote time to them the past few days since his work is slow. (This is also a nice project for David because it gives him more ebook examples when he bids on ebook projects.)
Yesterday we chose a cover layout idea and today I selected pictures for them. (I think these are the final choices!) Hopefully we will be able to add the completed books to the shop this week. The book purchase will include three versions – epub, Kindle, and PDF – so the buyer can download whichever versions she prefers.
So here’s a little peek at the titles and covers!
Are any of these on your list of favorite GLH stories?
Cloudy Jewel was my introduction to GLH and remains my favorite. I still find myself trying to find their perfect little home whenever we drive through a new town.
Hi Sarah,
I don’t remember which one I read first. I was in high school. I know “A Daily Rate” and “Not Under the Law” were two favorites when I was younger. “Cloudy Jewel” is one of my favorites. I like all of the stories that revolve around college at that time. It was a unique time in history. I’ve always wanted to live in a small, walkable town and teach at a college so I think that’s why it appeals to me. God had other plans.
Thanks for your comment!
Sallie
