Time To S-L-O-W Down

Well, pregnancy is catching up with me at 34 weeks 2 days. I didn’t think I was overdoing it, but apparently I am. I’ve had WAY too many contractions the past few days and the doctor said I need to rest. I guess going up and down two flights of stairs in our house about fifty times a day is taking a toll on me.

And I’ve bottomed out on my glucose readings the past three days before lunch, so the doctor is playing with my insulin doses to get them right. If you’ve never experienced this, it really wipes you out. The past three afternoons I’ve been next to worthless because it just really takes a toll on me physically.

So… I can see that I’m going to have to adjust the way I spend my time and actually take some breaks and lay down during the day. I haven’t been laying down and/or napping because I would rather be doing stuff, but even though my mind says “Go!” my body is telling me to cool it. So postings might be a little slower around here for a while. 🙂

Feet up and have a rest, it will be the last time you get to do it for a while, so enjoy.
    God Bless.

Yes, it is time to slow down and to take care of baby and yourself. Everyone keeps telling me to allow myself these precious moments of rest because they will be few and far between for years to come!

Oh my! I nap almost every day. Of course, when I’m not napping, I’m overdoing it! I’m at 31 weeks!

Take it easy and take care of yourself. (And Little Miss Peanut!)

A bit of advice from a mum of five…put your feet up NOW and rest NOW because you will wish you could after the peanut arrives. Nothing worse than a worn out mum before she gets started.
You have permission to nap and read and sit…
    :o)

He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

    Isaiah 40:29-31

    God bless you!
