Vocabulary in Your Life & Church | From the Bible or the Woke Left?

Words matter as shown by the two lists below. For Christians, our thoughts and conversation should reflect the truth God gives us in His written word. Fill your mind (and your child’s mind) with the Truth and language of God’s Word. Use the words God deliberately gave to us to understand Him and our world.

Those who control the language control the world and will do their best to control you and your family. Right now we are bombarded with words that seeks to divide and destroy. The Truth represented by List 1 has transformed lives for over two thousand years.

What is the purpose of List 2 in these very recent years?

When you gather with the body of Christ at your local church, which list do you hear? If the focus of your pastor and church leadership is List 2, then it’s time to find a different church.

Which list guides your walk with Christ? The two belief systems they represent are not compatible no matter how many people try to make them so.

From Scripture:

Father
Son
Jesus Christ
Holy Spirit
Holy
Glory
Grace
Sin
Sinner
Blood
Cross
Crucified
Gospel
Believe
Repentance
Salvation
Forgiveness
Sovereignty
Love
Joy
Praise
The World
The Body
Disciples
Worship
Suffering
Kingdom
Heaven
Evil
Enemy
Temptation
Righteousness
Sanctification
Justification
Resurrection
Faithfulness
Covenant
Creation
Fruit of the Spirit

The Woke Left:

Privilege
Problematic
Racism
Identity
Inclusion
Marginalized
Context
Systemic Racism
Whiteness
White Privilege
Oppression
Injustice
Do the work
Microaggressions
Woke
Reparations
Social Justice
Holding Space
Intersectional

Sallie Schaaf Borrink

For 20+ years, I’ve been writing about following Jesus Christ and making choices based on what is true, beautiful, and eternal. Through purposeful living, self-employment, and homeschooling, our family has learned that freedom comes from a commitment to examine all of life and think for yourself.

I hope you will join me here where we discuss all of life each day.

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.

countenance: To favor; to encourage by opinion or words; To encourage; to appear in defense (Websters Dictionary 1828)
