My Level of Trust Is Directly Impacted by The Words Christians Use

The more a writer or pastor uses words that have only come into vogue (or even existence) in the past ten years, the less I trust his or her theology. Scripture is powerful, living, and sufficient. It needs to be studied and understood. It doesn’t need new words.

Christians need to use the words and concepts of the faith. The Holy Spirit doesn’t need us to create a new vocabulary to open a person’s eyes to God’s truth.
