We joined Canon+ during No Quarter November 2022 when they offered a one month trial that was either free or 99 cents. (I don’t remember.) I’ve been slowly working my way through what they have. There is a lot there. A lot. And they are adding new content faster than I can work through what is already available.
Last evening I finally finished the video Eve In Exile: Restoration of Femininty with Rebekah Merkle (Doug Wilson’s daughter). From the description:
Feminism was a scam. Now what? Women are faced with the massive opportunity of rebuilding in the wreckage of a Christian nation. How do we live faithfully as women now?
First-Wave feminists held rallies for women’s suffrage and prohibition. Second-Wave feminists marched for jobs and abortion. Today, Third-Wave feminists stand firmly for nobody’s quite sure what. Modern women need liberating now more than ever. The truth is, feminists don’t know what liberation is. They have led us into a very boring dead end.
This documentary follows author Rebekah Merkle as she discusses the role of Christian women in today’s world, the pitfalls and distractions we should avoid, and how we should approach rebuilding the ruins of the West.
Lots of good food for thought in this one. I’m not going to take the time to write a formal review, but I will probably watch it again and refer to it at some point in other posts.
I also enjoyed Doug Wilson’s video How To Save the World In Eleven Simple* Steps (*Not Easy). Again, it’s worth watching more than once as there is a lot to think about and discuss.
The production quality of Canon+ media is incredibly high. They have an ever-expanding library of audio books for the entire family (including children) if you enjoy those. There are also podcasts, ebooks, video courses, seminars, etc. It’s definitely worth signing up for a month and checking it out for your family.
I have no connection with Canon+ other than currently being a paid monthly subscriber.
