I chose this artwork by Albert Anker because I think it demonstrates what a lot of us probably think. Homemaking is important, but never let it get in the way of sneaking in a few pages of a book while you rest during the day! LOL!
So last week was an almost total fail for me with my three goals. But I’m not giving up. I’m going to make the same three goals again this week but I’m not going to write out the details again:
- Home inventory
- Christmas inventory to start planning
- Inventory my specific foods
What three specific goals do you have this week? They can be big or tiny – anything that brings greater peace to your home.
If you haven’t explored everything on my site, I have written A Quiet Simple Life Planner & Guidebook devoted to all parts of homemaking. There are lots of downloadable ideas for inspiration.
There are also ideas for other parts of the home that could relate to homemaking tasks since homemaking is rather broad. The way I define homemaking, it’s not just about cleaning. Making a home is much more than simply cleaning the mirrors or doing laundry. Those are important and necessary, but just a small part of what makes a home special.
I hope you’ll share your goals in the comments and then come back and let us know how it went. You never know when you might inspire someone else!
