It definitely seemed a bit odd that Michelle Obama missed President Carter’s funeral. The official reason given was “a scheduling conflict.” It would seem to me that a state funeral for a president from your own party would rank higher than most things. But, okay.
Now it’s officially announced that she won’t be attending President Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
She definitely can’t claim a scheduling conflict for this one. So what’s the real reason? Is she ill? Is it spite? Fear?

I hadn’t heard that rumor. That would be a real plot twist. I can’t see either one of them with someone else, but hopefully it won’t matter in a short while…
