Simple Living Means Planting Flowers

Why do we plant flowers? We plant perennials because we know they will come back each year to be enjoyed over and over again. We add annuals to our gardens and pots because we know they will bring us joy for the spring, summer, and fall months.

Every time we plant flowers we are expressing hope for the future. We expect to see them blossom for months or even years. If you haven’t planted any flowers this spring, I encourage you to fill at least a few pots with varieties that grow well where you live and that will make you happy each day you see them.

Beauty matters. God’s creation matters. Surround yourself with it.

And hope.
