Learning To Write Cursive With Dysgraphia

I’ve written many posts about our journey with Caroline’s dysgraphia. I asked Caroline if I could take a photo of this and share it to encourage other homeschool moms. She agreed.

Caroline wrote this on David’s birthday card envelope and it is lovely. She learned cursive much later than many children, but she learned it. She can write it and read it.

All of my printables for just $37!

(I told her she can write secret messages that half the people under age 30 probably can’t read. LOL!)

We started cursive and stopped so many times over the years. She just wasn’t ready for some reason. But we started making real progress in late middle school and we’re still practicing a few times a week in high school.

It doesn’t matter when our children master something. When they are ready, they will learn it.

This is the beauty of homeschooling.

For 20+ years, I’ve been writing about following Jesus Christ and making choices based on what is true, beautiful, and eternal. Through purposeful living, self-employment, and homeschooling, our family has learned that freedom comes from a commitment to examine all of life and think for yourself.

I hope you will join me here where we discuss all of life each day. Check out my Premium Content, the Forum, my Shop, or just start browsing the website I've thoughtfully curated for you.

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.

countenance: To favor; to encourage by opinion or words; To encourage; to appear in defense (Websters Dictionary 1828)
