If you need a simple way to track your child’s reading, these free printable reading logs for kids are an easy place to start. Each reading log includes space to record the date, book title, and minutes spent reading, making them useful for homeschool, summer reading, independent reading, or simply building a good reading habit at home.

There are four free printable reading log designs to choose from: red stars, blue stars, pink polka dots, and lavender polka dots. Just click the one you want and print it out.

How to Use These Reading Logs

These printable reading logs are a simple way to help children keep track of their reading progress. You can use them to:

  • track daily reading for homeschool
  • encourage independent reading
  • log books read during summer break
  • keep a record of reading minutes
  • add reading documentation to a homeschool portfolio

Some children enjoy choosing their favorite color or pattern and using that reading log all month long. Others like switching designs from time to time just to keep things fresh.
