A comment on a recent video made me look into something I don’t believe I’ve ever seen discussed. The comment was on the video I shared in Worship or Edification in the New Testament Church? It pertained to Lydia, the first convert to Christianity in Europe.
This is the comment:
Junia is the correct translation of the name in Romans 16:7. Some Christians will try to debate it because it makes them uncomfortable to see a woman’s name near the word apostles in the Bible. But the only reason some Bible translations insert Junias is because they are guided by their own bias.
This week I picked up Neither Complementarian nor Egalitarian again in an attempt to finish it. I completed the Part 1 (Gender in Evangelical History) which gave an overview of the different ways cultural movements have impacted the body of Christ in regards to these questions. It was interesting and I learned some new things.
After tackling The Interpolation Argument Regarding 1 Corinthians 14:33-40, I decided to have an exchange with Arya about 1 Timothy 2:8-15. As you can see below, it was eager to tell me all the things before I asked. But I managed to reign it in and keep it on track. LOL!
