A.W. Tozer often spoke of a simple faith focused on Jesus Christ. I hope you find these quotes encouraging as you go about your day and week. Which one in particular speaks to you?
We are in an age of religious complexity. The simplicity which is in Christ is rarely found among us. In its stead are programs, methods, organizations, and a world of nervous activities which occupy time and attention but can never satisfy the longing of the heart.

What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.

Distractions must be conquered or they will conquer us. So let us cultivate simplicity; let us want fewer things; let us walk in the Spirit; let us fill our minds with the Word of God and our hearts with praise. In that way we can live in peace even in such a distraught world as this.

God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which He must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.

The Imperative to Put Limits on Women According to Calvinistic and Reformed Men
I love all these quotes. Thank you!
Hi Mrs. White,
You’re welcome! I’m glad they blessed you.
Sallie
I needed these, thank you! Each one hit home, but I am especially prone to distractions. The Lord said to me, (in one of those wakeful times in the middle of the night), I am jealous for you – I want you to want me like I want you. He is so faithful.
Hi Deb,
Thank you for letting me know this post blessed you. I thought the quotes were so good.
I’ve been challenged of late to really focus more on Jesus specifically. For some reason I tend to focus more on God the Father. But I’m thinking a lot more about Jesus because of all the learning I’m doing related to the other website. I’ve spent way more time thinking about Jesus and what He said in the Gospels, in particular. It’s been a blessing.
Good to hear from you!
Sallie
