Just dropping by to say hello! I am continuing to enjoy my break. Thank you for the kind comments and emails during my break. I appreciate them more than I can express.

Things are getting back to normal around here. The past few weeks we have been busy painting our living room and dining room, painting the large floor trim in the living room, dining room, entry and upstairs hall, prepping the bathroom for wallpapering, etc. I am happy to share that the new carpeting is in and we love it! It is a rose carpet with a floral pattern with two shades of green and two shades of gold that make up the roses and leaves. When the installer put it in, he made a joke that our place was going to look like a funeral parlor. I said, no, it is going to look like a very nice and restful bed and breakfast or inn! And it does. It really does remind me of some of the beautiful inns we have stayed in over the past several years.

We also had our bathroom wallpapered and it looks lovely. The wallpaper is white with small blue and yellow flowers and little green leaves. It is very cheerful. Only the top half of the walls are papered since we have white wainscotting on the bottom half of the room. We also put in a new window which is heavenly since the old window was original to the house (1925!).

We spent yesterday shopping at the huge mall in town and made out like bandits! We found so many items on sale for 50-60-70-80% off. This is a great time to be decorating! We’re not completely done, but we’re well on our way.

My leg and back have also improved greatly this past week. I have had no leg symptoms of which to really speak this week and was able to sit through the entire worship service last Sunday without having to leave and walk around. Praise God!

Well, that’s all for now. I just wanted to say hello and “keep in touch” with my “blog friends”. I am looking forward to a quiet Labor Day weekend at home with my husband and getting some much needed rest for both of us after all of the work on the house. Now that things are starting to feel more settled around here, I’m starting to look forward to blogging again, perhaps sometime soon!
