I made the decision to go back on Twitter/X last month. You can find me at SallieBorrink. Twitter/X has changed a lot for the good since Elon Musk purchased it, especially in the past year. While it’s not completely free speech like Gab, it is by far the largest almost free speech platform available. I will continue to support the free speech efforts in our country and the world.
I also decided to do it the right way from the beginning and purchased a course developed by someone I’ve followed over the past few years. It was very helpful and now I’m working on implementing his tactics.
My personal reasons for going back on Twitter/X are these.
- Reach and interact with more people.
- Utilize another place to re-purpose and share my already created content with a larger audience.
- Create another income stream for our family.
My focus is to build a following of people who are interested in the Christian faith, Christian issues, following Christ as a woman, Christian parenting, homeschooling, faithful Christian living in difficult times, etc. My main focus is not creating political content although I will re-share some things like that and will certainly engage in comments on other people’s content.
In addition, whatever is happening and will be happening in our country in the coming weeks and months will include Twitter/X and Elon Musk in some significant way. Exactly how, I don’t know. But I don’t doubt that fact at all.
So my first goal is to get to 100 followers and then to 500 as quickly as possible. And then on from there!
I hope to see you over there as well as here.

After a few weeks I can say that I am enjoying Twitter/X. I’ve learned some tricks and tips that make it more enjoyable than it was in the past.
I’ve found some interesting circles to start commenting in.
The biggest thing? It isn’t rigged like Facebook. I can see clearly how the algorithm works since it is open source and there are people who read it and explain it. Facebook feels like one big scam with the only goal of making money off your information. As best as I can tell, I can set goals on Twitter/X that can be obtained if I put the work in. No other social media has felt like that in years and years.

So we’ll see how it goes in the weeks and months ahead.
