Sallie, I have a confession to make. I am Discorded Mama on Gab! It blessed me to hear you reading my post and I wanted to thank you. Early last year I began sending text messages to my adult children and sister each morning as inspirational encouragement to them as they began their day. I have always had a heart to encourage others in their walk with Christ, so I also shared them on Facebook (until I left) and now do so on Gab. I am a longtime reader of your blog and a faithful listener to your morning updates. I love hearing your calm voice of reason as you sift through the often hair-raising events of the day. You are a gem! I honestly don’t know how you do it all except for the steadfast love, faithfulness, and grace of our almighty God.

As an aside, we did receive one (actually two) of those strangely worded cards in the mail referring to Q. I wondered aloud who could afford to do such a mailing, and my husband responded, “They’re from the CIA!” and promptly threw them in the trashcan. I couldn’t discount his assumption since they were looking for a response….possibly another way to keep track of certain groups of people. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time!

      Hi Emily,

How fun to find out it is you! I appreciate seeing your words of encouragement in my Gab stream whenever you write. I also like the artwork you choose and will probably be “borrowing” some of it. I am always on the lookout for older artists and public domain artwork.

That is really interesting you received those postcards. I agree with your husband that someone is wanting to track the people who respond. I don’t know if it is CIA or who, but they didn’t send them out for nothing.

Lots of truth bombs. Thank you, Sallie. I agree with Emily’s statement I don’t know how you do these updates so faithfully, considering the weight of their content, but I’m glad you do and I will continue to pray for you.

      Hi Cheryl,

Well, to be perfectly honest… I am tired. I continue to do them because I believe God has told me to keep going.

That said, I mentioned to a friend today that I am seriously thinking about dropping the Substack and moving the existing and future content here. I can’t do all the things well and homeschool properly and maintain my home. I can return the money to the people who have signed up to support me and shut it down (if I choose to go that route). It’s a great platform, but I don’t think long-term I am going to be able to generate a large enough following on there to generate the income to make it worthwhile. But it’s a great opportunity for the right kind of person.

      Prayers are definitely appreciated.
      Sallie

~ Okay, I figured out the answer to my experiment. It took ten days of trying to figure out the root problems, but it came to me this morning. Answer is in motion at the moment even though you can't see it yet on the public side. I think it will make everyone happy. ♥

~ I'm in the midst of My Two Week Experiment so if things look a bit off from time to time with the website design or layout, that's why. Thank you for your patience!

~ Did you put on the Armor of God this morning? Ephesians 6:10-20
