If you are looking for high school homeschool curriculum with a Christian worldview, I am delighted to have the opportunity to introduce you to 7Sisters Homeschool! (And if your kids are younger, you’ll still want to read this and bookmark it for future reference. Yes, I think it could be that helpful to you in the future.)

I received access to these materials for free so I could review them. I am being compensated for my time to write this review.

High School Homeschool Curriculum

The 7Sisters Homeschool was new to me so I spent some time looking around their website and getting acquainted with their materials before agreeing to review them. I was pleased to see that their approach to homeschooling and curriculum sounds a lot like mine. They believe:

  • there is not one right way to homeschool
  • there should be no busywork and no overkill
  • building character and critical thinking skills are an important part of learning

(My regular readers will know exactly why I wanted to introduce people to their materials! Doesn’t that sound like what I say here all the time?)

When you go to the 7Sisters Homeschool online store area, you’ll see that their high school materials are grouped around six themes:

  • Electives and Career Exploration
  • Health and Social Sciences
  • Consumer Math and Financial Literacy
  • Literature Guides
  • English and Writing
  • Speech and Drama

Each learning group includes many different ebook curriculum options that are available for immediate download. There are a LOT of courses so you will want to click over and see everything that is there. The curriculum was written by veteran homeschool moms who have spent 20+ years homeschooling and teaching homeschool students in their community for over a decade. The curriculum has been proven to be effective and well-liked by those who use it.

Flexible Homeschool High School Curriculum

The curriculum is presented in PDF documents. They are easy to read and simply created with minimal design. If you have a learner who needs simple design, these would be a good fit. They definitely do not look overwhelming like a huge textbook would which is a blessing for many kids who are more easily overwhelmed by too much.

I looked through many of the different materials such as literature guides, cinema guides, etc. and they contain three options for levels of difficulty:

  • Basic/Average
  • College Prep
  • Honors

So depending on the needs and desires of you and your student, you can select the elements to use in the curriculum. The more your student wants to be challenged, the more you can do from the courses.

Anne of Green Gables Literature Guide Homeschool Curriculum

These courses look very doable and flexible. For people like me who prefer a relaxed homeschool approach, they provide a solid foundation and structure for a course. Everything is there and you can adapt it to fit your needs and the needs of your child. But they don’t look like they will take over your life and become an unreasonable burden. They look just right!

I also believe that the books, movies, and other content selected will be enjoyable for the average family. There is depth offered in the courses, but they are not overly academic. They look practical and I think the pricing makes them accessible to most homeschooling families.

So, overall, I’m very thankful for the opportunity to review their materials. I could see using many of them with Caroline in a few years.

7Sisters Homeschool Free Products

The women at 7Sisters want you to know what they have to offer so they have quite a few free products in their ebookstore you can check out. These are just a few. If you click over, you can see all of them.

  • Anne of Green Gables Literature Guide
  • Research Paper Help for Reluctant Writers in Your Homeschool
  • Literature Activity Guide for You Are Special
  • Career Exploration Questionnaire

They also have a podcast and an email list you can join for encouragement and ideas!

Overall, I give a big thumbs up to the homeschool curriculum offered by 7Sisters Homeschool. I think their materials will be a great help for many homeschooling families who are looking for high school homeschool curriculum that is affordable, easy to use, and comprehensive without being overwhelming!

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.

countenance: To favor; to encourage by opinion or words; To encourage; to appear in defense (Websters Dictionary 1828)
