Did the New Testament church “worship” God when they gathered? Or did they gather to build one another up and for mutual edification as followers of Jesus Christ?
So many of our ideas about what should take place on Sunday have nothing to do with Jesus or the New Testament. They are man-made traditions based on the Old Testament priestly sacrificial system, pagan temple worship, and the spread of rhetoric culture.
Those might sound like fighting words, but they are simply the truth. If you’ve read my posts about Pagan Christianity, you already know what I’m talking about.
I’ve watched several interviews with Dr. Tom Wadsworth and still gleaned some new thoughts from this one.
Most interesting for me was something said in the comments that made me look up some details. It’s important enough to merit a separate post and I’ll link to it here: Did Paul Forbid Lydia from Teaching in Her Home Church?
