In mid-November I received an email from Google telling me if I wanted to claim my Two Talent Living blog I hadn’t logged into since 2007, I needed to complete a process to add it to my Google account. If I didn’t claim my legacy blog within 60 days, it would be deleted. So I finally took care of it this morning. It was an astonishingly easy process, especially considering this is Google we’re talking about.
The image for this post is the theme I used back in 2005. It’s no longer an active theme so I will change it shortly to one of their other themes. Blogger added my current Google profile photo when I updated it and I added a new “where to find me” post at the top, but otherwise I left the blog as it was for the moment. The photos are missing in the posts and I can’t remember why that is. David might remember.
If you have a Blogger blog that you’ve neglected but don’t want it deleted, you can go to this page to complete the process: Legacy blog migration page. I think it will work even if you didn’t get the email.
It’s rather sad how much will be deleted in the coming weeks and months. That’s a vast amount of human history that will be lost forever.
You can read my first post here: Two Talent Living in a Ten Talent World.

Thanks for writing this because I didn’t know about the legacy status and need to claim it. I can understand why Google doesn’t want to keep it around forever and ever, as eventually they might want to use that memory somehow.

Hi Ticia,
You’re welcome! I thought it might help someone. I’m glad it did.
