For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

I’m so glad I put up my posts about White Boy Summer and The Moscow Mood & No Quarter November last week. So often I think about something in-depth, but don’t write about it so I don’t get to point out that I was correct about something. (Hey, when you live with an active mind and you figure things out, the little things like that matter!)
So the NQN 2024 video dropped on November 1. If you’ve read those posts, see what jumps out at you.
I thought there were a couple of funny parts, but overall it didn’t wow me. I haven’t figured it out yet, but there is something about it that’s off. I’m still thinking about it.
So Moscow is burning bridges, including apparently with the white boy summer folks. Or, more specifically, the men who have questions about the Jews, Israel, World War 2, the USA’s involvement with Israel, Israel’s influence on our country, etc.
Someone shared this on Twitter in one of the threads I was reading.

The Rational Redhead made this observation:

The RR is alluding to the fact that there was another huge blow-up over the past two weeks involving all of these same people. That would be another post, but it had to do with antisemitism.
Go figure.
(I told you all a couple of years ago to figure out what you believe about the Jews and Israel both theologically and politically because it was clear it would become a huge issue. It’s not over yet.)
I can summarize that particular situation with this image.

If you want to read some comments I made on X about it, go here. I’ll eventually make that into a post because I have more to say, but there’s too much to already cover in this post.
Next up are a couple of related posts from Twitter/X. I thought each offered a helpful viewpoint. I think the first one especially is insightful.
I’ll offer one point of background so this first entry makes sense. Doug Wilson says one of the reasons that people don’t like the Jews is because they are envious of the Jews (their intelligence, drive, success, etc.). My personal opinion after spending a lot of time in these rabbit holes and discussions is that isn’t the case. The interest in these topics goes way beyond anything like that. Might it be true for some? Sure. But that’s not what is driving what is going on right now. Not at all. It is a theological and political issue.
I’m not big on the Christian fights, but on this first day of #NoQuarterNovember I’ll note that DW, whom I treasure, made his bones attacking the sacred cows of his prime: feminism, LGBTQ, etc.
His spiritual sons learned well his tactics and set out to conquer their own: Zionism, cultural genocide, etc., but those fattened calves are still sacred to the old guard, outside their personal Overton Windows
Just as DW was falsely accused of hating women because they’re women, so his generation accuses the next of hating Jews for being Jews.
And, as he well knows, no amount of explanation will suffice when your enemy has it in his mind that you’re motivated by petty hatred and personal envy.
Do some so-called TheoBros just hate women? I’m sure. Do some just hate Jews? Also sure. But the mass condemnation of energetic Christian men who love God’s Word and hate His enemies by establishment figures is the very hurdle DW was forced to jump his whole career.
So yes, I see a real inability for the old guard to see younger versions of themselves in the vanguard, but I also see something like a nervous terror at Moscow surveying what it created.
They wanted dragon slayers and they got them. Young men bought all the books, read them, and came out fighting. Now the authors are busy trying to explain that the big winged thing with all the talons isn’t really a dragon, or that it’s a friendly one with a special pass.
As Uncle Douglas himself might put it, channeling Mather, “Radicalism begat revolution and the daughter devoured the mother.”
Before anyone makes whatever assumption, I’m for honoring fathers like Doug Wilson and James White.
I’m also a mix of nauseated and bored by all the actual Nazi stuff. I know it’s out there and Christians do well to maintain distance from it.
I just see a massive blockage around certain topics that are deemed entirely verboten, unapproachable from any direction.
That breeds distrust, needlessly sacrifices credibility, and alienates otherwise allies. Young men sniff it immediately, run, and often to bad places.
If the elder statesmen mean to maintain their offices they’ll need to be willing to discuss even the thorniest topics honestly and accurately.
If the young men are wrong they need to be instructed, not called names for doing what they were trained to do.
I’m not planning to do a ‘No Quarter November,’ but I think I’ll have a ‘call it like I see it on topics I usually avoid’ November here and there.
Let’s start with the much-discussed ‘young, Reformed man.’
I care about this group. I want to see these men become all God has made them to be for the good of others and the glory of God. I was once part of it myself. I’m not that old, but I’m no longer young either (very much a Gen-Xer).
Some of the anonymous accounts I know personally, who have decried the alienation of young Reformed men—including themselves—by older Reformed men, are actually in their mid-to-late 30s.
Is that really what we mean by “young”? Your late 30s is very much mid-life in the States. If this is what we mean by young, it seems we’re adopting the surrounding culture’s delayed maturation scale. Maybe we are. If so, I think I categorize these men as something more like late bloomers or something other than young.
One reason I bring this up is that I notice much less angst and anger in the truly younger men, especially those in their mid-20s or younger. This age group isn’t PC at all—they say “gay” and “retarded,” they work out, mock feminism, and love Trump. But they’re not disaffected. There is less father hunger and, correspondingly, father resentment. It’s a surprising development.
This brings me back to the other group of men. They may be younger in the grand scheme of things, but they differ in that I sense a lot of anger and resentment, particularly directed at Boomers. In many cases, these men are younger Millennials and, therefore, the sons of Boomers. That’s how I tend to think about and categorize them. All sons are men, and I don’t want to see any Christian men unnecessarily alienated. However, it’s clear we are dealing with two different groups of Reformed men: the young men and the sons of Boomerdom.
One feature of the Boomer generation that I’ve observed across multiple areas is a hesitancy to retire or hand off an institution to a successor. For various reasons (and I can think of a few), this phenomenon hasn’t impacted Gen Xers quite as much as it has Millennials. I think this is one of the major sources of deep generational resentment you see swirling in Sons of Boomerdom. They are stuck on the outside or at the very bottom of the pyramid of authority. It has led to a patricidal mindset: if you want the keys to the kingdom, you must kill your father. Never mind whether or not you even have the skills to rule the kingdom.
There are some Sons of Boomerdom who haven’t demanded, “Dad, hand over the keys.” These men are the outliers who, often waiting years for a promotion, have decided they need to build something on their own. It’s a good thing. However, you can understand why such men would be especially defensive of criticism coming from those who remind them of their generation of withholding fathers.
I don’t think we can afford to spare a generation of Christian men, whether they are young or middle-aged. We need as many as we can get. This will require adopting different tactics with men based on the challenges they are trying to overcome. The goal of every father is to see his son grow into a peer, while the goal of a son should be to be worthy of a good father’s mantle. May the Lord turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and vice versa.

I am not Catholic and I assume most of my readers are not. However, Archbishop Viganò has been one of the most consistent voices over the past five years. He has proven himself dedicated to the welfare of American citizens, the Republic, and Western Civilization.
Viganò lays out what is at stake with this election in stark terms. It is everything I have been writing and podcasting about for the past four years. Whether you are Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, or simply conservative, it will not be any clearer than this.
OPEN LETTER TO AMERICAN CATHOLICS ON THE EVE OF THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Dear Faithful American Catholics, I am addressing all of you, a few days before the Presidential Election that will call millions of American citizens to the polls.
Even in conditions of relative normality, the exercise of the vote is your moral duty, through which you cooperate in the first person in choosing the person who will lead the Nation for the next four years. But in this coming electoral round – just as in 2020 and indeed much more so – you are not simply called to choose between two candidates who happen to be on different political sides but who both nevertheless have the common good at heart in compliance with the Constitution and the Law. No; in this election you must choose between two radically opposed ways of conceiving the government of your Nation: you are called to choose between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and slavery.
On one side we have candidate Donald J. Trump, who, despite serious problems in his positions – especially in the matter of abortion and assisted procreation – has as his objective the common good and the protection of the fundamental freedoms of citizens. In Donald Trump’s America, every Catholic can practice their Faith and educate their children in it without interference from the State.
On the other side we have a candidate and a party that promotes everything that directly opposes the Faith and Morals of the Catholic Church. In Kamala Harris’ America, Catholics – but also Protestants – are considered fundamentalists to be marginalized and eliminated, and their children are considered the property of the State, which arrogates to itself the right to lead them astray from an early age in both body and soul. Trump’s America can become great and prosperous again. Harris’ America is destined for invasion and for moral, social, and economic destruction: the most ferocious dictatorship.
Look at your country! Your cities have become dumps filled with derelicts and criminals, drug dealers and addicts, prostitutes and robbers. Your schools are dens of indoctrination and corruption from kindergarten onwards. In your courts, criminals are acquitted and innocents are imprisoned: new ideological crimes are prosecuted, while illegality is tolerated and encouraged. In your hospitals, multinational corporations rule, and you are their guinea pigs to be exterminated or made chronically ill so that you will be their perpetual clients. Farmers, ranchers, and fishermen are persecuted and forced to fail, while the land is grabbed by unscrupulous corporations who transform it into endless photovoltaic systems and wind turbines to power their data centers and server farms where they collect all your data, your movements, your purchases, and your political preferences. They have gone so far as to tamper with the climate by means of sophisticated geoengineering operations and devastating arson in order to make the global warming fraud credible and impose the green transition, the increase in the cost of energy, and electric cars and scooters. And all this is done based on evidence that consists of lies without any scientific proof, but which are propagated through the servile collaboration of the regime media, ever ready to label any dissenters as conspiracy theorists. But what until yesterday was dismissed as the result of conspiracy theories is now admitted by the government itself. They takeaway your sunlight; they poison you by seeding the clouds; they overwhelm your villages and your fields with deadly hurricanes; they kill your livestock and dry up your crops with induced droughts and devastating fires. They aim to control the entire food sector, to force you to eat only what they make available to you. This is what the Agenda 2030 calls for, which has been imposed without any vote by the United Nations and the World Economic Forum.
In these four disastrous years of the Biden-Harris administration, we have had a puppet in the White House and a corrupt and incompetent Vice President who has never stopped lying and deceiving voters about her past and her future. Power is managed by the criminal deep state – whose names and faces we now know – that is responsible for the destruction of your great Nation. And to ensure that the crisis is endless, new war scenarios are continually opening up, in conflicts that no one actually wants, except for those who make enormous profits from them, sacrificing human lives and compromising international stability.
You have seen what the Democrats, that is, the woke far Left, have been capable of in four years. Imagine what they will be able to do if, instead of Biden’s numerous stand-ins, his Vice President is elected – in the most scandalous and unimaginable fraud – with her entourage of LGBTQ+ Ministers, rigorously woke, sold out to China or the World Economic Forum, sponsored by George Soros or Bill Gates, manipulated by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. At that point, dear American Catholics, you will not only have to go to a different rally – as Kamala would like – in order to say “Christ is the Lord”, because saying that will be considered hate speech, and praying in front of an abortion clinic an act of terrorism. Do not think that these are remote hypotheses: wherever the woke Left takes power, it establishes the most vicious, anti-human, and anti-Christian dictatorship that humanity has ever known. And we know that every time the Left has come to power, it has never left through democratic means.
Donald Trump and Kamala Harris: we are not talking about two visions that are a bit different but still part of the normal political back-and-forth. No; we are talking about two diametrically opposed and irreconcilable worlds, in which Trump fights against the deep state and is committed to freeing America from its tentacled grip, while on the opposite side we have a corrupt and blackmailed candidate, an organic part of the deep state, who acts as a puppet in the hands of warmongers like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, of self-proclaimed “philanthropists” like the criminals George Soros and Klaus Schwab, or of characters like Jeffrey Epstein and Sean Combs. Their program is that of the Global Left, the World Economic Forum, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and ultimately the program of Vanguard, BlackRock, and StateStreet. Their agenda is dictated by the financial oligarchy that controls humanity to the detriment of the people: an elite that operates not only in the United States but also in Canada, Australia, Europe, and wherever politics is held hostage by their investment funds and their pseudo-humanitarian organizations dedicated to the obliteration of Western Civilization.
Behind these people – by now we should know this – are people devoted to evil, united by the satanic hatred against Our Lord Jesus Christ and those who believe in Him, mainly against the Catholic faithful. We want Christ to reign, and we proclaim it with pride: Christ is King! They want the Antichrist to reign, whose tyranny is made of chaos, war, disease, famine, and death. And the more emergencies and crises planned and created by the globalist elite increase, the more that elite has a pretext to impose new limitations, new restrictions of fundamental rights, and new social controls.
Joe Biden, the current “President,” is a servant of this subversive elite and widely blackmailable for the scandals and crimes committed by himself personally and also by his family, beginning with his son Hunter. His “Vice President,” Kamala Harris, is equally subservient to the same deep state. And the Democratic Party, to which they both belong, is the expression of the woke ideology that plagues all the parties of the global Left.
Candidate Donald J. Trump, while certainly taking some serious critical positions that a Catholic cannot agree with, represents for us, dear American faithful, in this specific historical moment, the only possible choice to counter the globalist coup that the woke Left is about to implement definitively, irreparably, and with incalculable damage for future generations.
Voting for Donald Trump means firmly distancing ourselves from an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian and anti-human vision of society. It means stopping those who want to create a hellish dystopia that is even worse than the one announced by George Orwell. And it also means – do not forget – giving him our vote of confidence, so that President Trump knows that the massive vote of Catholics and Christians that brought him back to the White House must become the premise for a more incisive commitment to the defense of life from conception to natural death, the traditional family, the right of parents to educate their children, and to the defense of the Christian Faith and the cultural identity of the Nation.
I repeat: the choice is between a conservative President, who is paying with his very life for his fight against the deep state, and an infernal monster who obeys Satan. For a Catholic, there can be no question: voting for Kamala Harris is morally inadmissible and constitutes a very grave sin. Nor is it morally possible to abstain, because in this war declaring oneself neutral means allying oneself with the enemy.
People around the world are beginning to understand the threat that looms over them and their children’s future, and you Americans have understood it too. But even if this time it will be more difficult for the deep state to repeat the fraud of 2020, you must not think that it will resign itself to defeat so easily. Let us therefore prepare to prevent possible attacks and civil war scenarios from being used to impose martial law and new restrictions, after the attempts on his life from which President Trump providentially escaped.
But let us not forget, dear Faithful, that human energies alone are powerless in the face of this infernal display of forces. We proclaim that Christ is King – this means that Our Lord must return to reign, and the first way to make Him reign is by obeying His holy Law and living in His Grace. Let Christ reign in your hearts, in your families, in your communities, and throughout the entire United States of America: this is the only way to peace, harmony, and prosperity for your Nation.
Think of how many of you Catholics there are in the United States! Vote without hesitation, and pray that Our Lord will enlighten American citizens in making their choice and grant victory to those who, at least, have no problem proclaiming that Christ is Lord. May God bless you all, and may the Virgin of Guadalupe, she who is the Patroness of the United States and all the Americas, and Saint Michael the Archangel, protect you.

There have been multiple pastors in the news lately for issues of moral failure. The one that seems to have hit people the hardest in my online circles is Steve Lawson. I write this post as someone who has never read his books or heard him preach. I only know who he is because of the hilarious Kuiper Belt Production – Reformed Funny Moments videos on CensorTube.
I’ve had two pastors in my life wreck their ministry over serious, grievous sin. In both cases, it was after I had stopped attending the church where they pastored. So I have not dealt with this type of situation in person and in real time. But they were both pastors who had a positive impact on my faith. In both cases, it was a bit shocking but also (upon reflection) not shocking.
I watched what the Vision Forum debacle did to hundreds (if not thousands) of Christian families years ago. To this day, I continue to discover people I knew or knew of online who were wrecked by that. To this day, I deal with fallout from the hyper-patriarchy movement in my circles.
I’ve shared the story of the spiritual abuse David and I experienced when we met.
I write all this because what I’m about to say might sound harsh or unloving to some. But it’s not harsh. It’s an acknowledgement of hard-earned truth.
I put no man or woman on a pedestal, including those who are in any form of Christian ministry. It’s a lesson every Christian needs to learn and it’s usually a painful one.
If you are devastated by the sin and wreckage of a person in ministry (especially someone you don’t personally know), then I encourage you to reconsider the importance you have given to other mere humans in your life.
No one should hold so much significance in your life and be held in such high esteem that his/her failure causes you to become overwhelmed with grief.
No one should hold so much significance in your life and be held in such high esteem that his/her failure causes you to feel the need to protect his/her reputation online.
No one should hold so much significance in your life and be held in such high esteem that his/her failure causes you to question your faith.
Especially that last one.
Part of the problem we have right now is the church the Lord Jesus gave us in the New Testament is not what is operating around us today.
The church was never intended to be a huge gathering of thousands of people in multiple services (let alone on multiple campuses with holograms).
The church was never intended to be led by men who don’t personally know the individual members of their flock.
The church was never intended to spawn a cult of personality around men (or women) who are gifted speakers and work outside of their church circle as much or more than they are at home.
As long as the body of Christ continues to elevate men (and women) in these ways, these problems will continue to devastate churches and people.
The cult of personality is a true problem in the American church. It creates disciples who are more committed to their favorite teacher than they are to Jesus. It takes the focus off Jesus and puts it on the person who can most effectively discuss hot and timely topics related to Jesus. It has allowed gifted and smooth-talking wolves to come in and ravage the sheep with lies and deception.
It allows Christians to clearly see the warning signs and either ignore them or downplay them as was apparently the case with Steve Lawson.
It should not be so.
The real takeaway from Christian leaders failing is to remind ourselves again of the importance of guarding our own faith. Every day.
To recognize again that any of us can be led astray if we take our eyes off Jesus.
Every significant moral failure starts with one poor choice.
