I originally started writing this post a few days ago and had the tentative title The Moscow Mood Has Soured. After the weekend, I think it’s appropriate to ask if the Moscow Mood is dead.

Father Calvin Robinson is an Anglican priest from the U.K. who recently moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has an interesting story about how he ended up here. Among other things, he’s on a literal top ten hit list in the U.K. for speaking the truth.

I have a list of cleaning tasks I’ve moved forward over and over again this fall. It includes things like deep cleaning all the bedding, cleaning all the light fixtures, and cleaning above the kitchen cabinets.

I hope you had a lovely day celebrating with friends and family. We had a quiet Thanksgiving of just we three. All of the food turned out well and we are all healthy. Those two things alone make it a very good Thanksgiving!

The After-Christmas Tree by Linda Wagner Tyler, illustrated by Susan Davis, is a sweet and memorable picture book about family, friendship, and extending the joy of Christmas just a little longer. It is one of those treasures I added to my picture book collection years ago because I immediately knew it was something special.
