If you’ve never read the poem “The Beginnings” by Rudyard Kipling, I think it’s worth considering in our present moment.
Wikipedia describes it this way:
“The Beginnings” is a 1917 poem by the English writer Rudyard Kipling. The poem is about how the English people, although naturally peaceful, slowly become filled with a hate which will lead to the advent of a new epoch.
If you follow my Telegram channel, then you already know I’ve made a point of showing the rising racial tensions. I only share a fraction of what I could. Black women, in particular, seem oblivious to what is simmering beneath the surface in this country where they are concerned.
Here’s the poem. I’ve seen “English” swapped out with “Anglo-Saxon” in the past few years, with the idea of bringing Americans into the mix of it.

The growing anger is real and America’s enemies also work to inflame it. Whatever its source, it is there. At some point, the anger will boil over. I have no idea when or how. But you can see the reality of that poem in the United States today if you are paying attention.
