Our Cozy Home No. 60

So it’s now Wednesday evening and this post about simple living around my home is supposed to go up on Monday. Sometimes no matter how much you want your life to be simple, things happen beyond your control. I find this is especially true with the needs of children. I’ve made a commitment to put the needs of my family before this work and that was the case this week (and last).

As a result I woke up Wednesday morning and it felt like Monday when I looked at my list of what hadn’t gotten done so far this week. And I realized it was okay. Life will go on and things will simply have to get pushed into the next week.

So here is my revised list of goals for the week.

One, finish reading the book I’m supposed to read before meeting with the deacons about becoming a member of our church.

Two, determine the best way to use our stimulus check. Make a list of all the options, prioritize them, and then act.

Three, get to bed early each night.

That’s it. Not every impressive, I know. But some weeks are like that.

What’s up in  your home this week?

This house is a bit of a cleaner-upper. I de-gunked the kitchen floor this week, and I just have a small area inside the back door to do, but no one has given it a real scrubbing in years, so there is almost a complete layer of grime to strip off.
