Today I am going to let Helen H. Lemmel’s words from 1922 be my word to you. If you aren’t familiar with this, it’s from the hymn Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of his glory and grace.
Persevere each day by keeping your eyes on Jesus.
Some of the most encouraging words I’ve read come from the devotional Streams in the Desert. I have many Streams in the Desert posts featuring selections from the book. I hope you will take the time to read some and be blessed this weekend.
