So Russia sent the Luna 25 Moon Lander to the moon this month and it blew up before it could land.

Then India sent Chandrayaan-3 to the South Pole and it landed. They released representative videos of the landing that were on par with 1980s video games. Prime Minister Modi was seen waving a little flag to celebrate the accomplishment. In my opinion, he looked like a deer in the headlights and nothing like the celebratory leader of a country that had just accomplished something significant.

Meanwhile, the USA hasn’t gone back to the moon in fifty years because we “lost the plans” and ability to do it. This despite the fact we carry around phones with more power than the computers they used to land on the moon in this.

I asked Caroline if she would get on that to fly across Lake Michigan and she said, “Absolutely not.”

Would you?

NASA says they have plans to send people back to the moon’s surface, but the plans keep getting pushed back one year after another. (At the very least, I’m sure all those diversity hires aren’t helping things at NASA.)

If I were a conspiracy theorist…

Just parking this here for future reference.
