This video was made in July and I found it last month. There is a great deal of truth in it and I’ve enjoyed watching some of Patara’s other videos. She has an extensive CensorTube channel called Appalachia’s Homestead With Patara that goes back for years.
She is correct that you can share truth and observations with people for only so long. Eventually you have to stop using your valuable time and energy to do this and instead focus on doing what you need to do. I think this is a hard choice for many people to make, especially caring women and truth seekers.
In her video, Patara lists a number of things you can begin to teach yourself. Among them she mentions seed saving. This is definitely worth learning about.
Patara also mentions learning how to chop firewood. We don’t heat with wood, but we do keep wood as a backup heat source to use in our fireplace. I ordered a wood splitting wedge for David to make it easier for him to split wood. It’s very sturdy and more than met our expectations. He permanently attached it to a large log and it makes it easier for him to split wood now.
I hope you find this video encouraging no matter where you are on your journey this year.
