Trump announced his pick of Senator J.D. Vance (OH) just as I was hitting publish. I’m keeping my original post below as a record of the conversations that went on.
Someone pointed out this:
…will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond….
This is a geographic pick.
What do you think?
—————————————–
President Trump will be announcing his Vice President selection in a little over an hour. I didn’t think it was supposed to be today, but I heard wrong. Given the assassination attempt this weekend, it’s probably best to get this official and done.
There was a list of potential candidates floating around. Most of them were absolute no way for me.
I’ve already written that I could see a noticeable shift among those in the know starting to bring Dr. Ben Carson to the front of the narrative over the past month or so (Dr. Ben Carson Moved Forward in the Narrative, Possible VP Pick).
I’m on record saying that I think there is no way it will be Vivek Ramaswamy even though I see people pushing for him. I will honestly be sick if he is the choice (Trump Is Not Picking Vivek Ramaswamy For VP). I can’t even imagine. Truly.
Other people that I see see mentioned who are a total no for me include RFK, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. Cannot fathom why we would go through the hell we’ve gone through these past several years to choose a VP who is anti Second Amendment and solidly liberal (and a Buddhist in Tulsi’s case).
Possible outliers would include Elise Stephanik and Sarah Huckabee Sanders if he really wanted a woman. I think Kari Lake lacks any meaningful experience so a no from me. I would not want Kristi Noem either. Too many red flags about her no matter how well she handled the plandemic. Not Tim Scott.
Then there is this little bit from Entheos which is interesting (Trump’s VP Will Serve One Term as President).
So here is my take.
I will be happy with anyone not remotely swampy that I don’t need to question their loyalty to Trump or America First. This would include people like General Flynn, Ben Carson, Admiral Rogers, etc. J.D. Vance is being discussed a lot. Trump must know something we don’t because he was aggressively anti-Trump in the past.
I do not want anyone who looks even remotely like a DEI/DIE pick. It has to be all merit. This includes people who might work later, but aren’t battle hardened enough.
This announcement will also put to rest two raging controversies one way or the other. There is the JFK, Jr. contingent who is absolutely convinced he is alive, attending the rallies in disguise, and will emerge from the shadows (Did JFK, Jr. Fake His Death?).
It will also probably end the Pence debate. There have been so many differing opinions regarding if Pence is truly bad or playing a role. It seems like lately the narrative push from those closer to Trump has been to show Pence as being a back-stabber. Remember that Siri post I had about who the POTUS and VP are (Hey, Siri! Who Is the Duly Elected President of the United States?)?

Might as well share this because it will be everywhere.

It would appear I got that wish.
And he picked a white man. That’s a statement in and of itself.

Vance’s wife. Some interesting experiences in there.

I’m adding lots of reactions to my newsfeed.

I’m not excited about Vance, but he may turn out to be okay, or possibly better than okay. In any case, the choice of Vance for VP leaves the others available for less-constrained roles in Trump’s administration.

Lots of interesting takes I’ve shared in my newsfeed. I’m more concerned that he’s married to a Hindu woman than anything else at this point. Christians need to start praying for her salvation pronto.
