Unless something dramatic happens, I'm going to guess that President Trump is acquitted in a bipartisan vote. No more witnesses will be called. This thing is done on Friday.
If Senator Romney thinks he's winning over conservatives and Republicans for a future presidential run by his trying to appear fair, he's really out of touch with the current state of the country.
Watching interviews with individual senators, I think there is a good possibility 3-5 Democrats vote to acquit. Senator Feinstein even suggested she could vote for an acquittal before she was shamed into backtracking.
