O Almighty God,
whom truly to know is everlasting life:
Grant us so perfectly to know thy Son Jesus Christ
to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may
steadfastly follow His steps in the way that leadeth
to eternal life; through the same
thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.

🧺 You can probably work much harder than you think you can. Our generation is so slothful and easily overwhelmed, yet we're one of the most comfortable and blessed in human history. Materially, at least. We lack the blessing of having been rigorously trained in the virtue and value of hard work.

🗓 If you're feeling overwhelmed and like you're constantly spinning your tires, you can strive to be more efficient with your time and plan ahead to reduce the stress of daily tasks flying at you from every direction while you struggle to figure out what to do next.

The time could soon come when the training we do now to be more efficient, productive, frugal, and managerial could be one of the most valuable things our families have.

🌱 Home is a refuge from the world and a greenhouse for the next generation, schools are merely group atmospheres for learning basic academics. They are far from interchangeable, and the controversy over what is taught in schools is crudely exposing just how problematic it is to assume that schools are capable of raising the whole of the human child.

👩🏻‍🍼 Homemakers are not slaves or leeches. They are performing tasks that are clearly worth quite a bit to society as evidenced by the fact that people pay others to do what they'd normally do. A home is more than just the sum of its parts and its parts cannot be easily replaced by a paid service or, worse, a nanny state.

🏡 Children need homes and, since children are the future, society needs homes. Homes are not made with government subsidies and hired help. Homes are made with dedicated hearts, focused on raising up the next generation and leaving them a legacy of purpose and independence.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 It takes a village to raise a child? No.
It takes strong families to form villages.

“The study of the past is an exercise in humility; while the smug are nervously trammeled up in their self-opinion, the humble are free to rejoice in what is genuinely great or noble or beautiful. The adulator of the new must believe that a great oblong in brick and glass and steel marks an ‘advance’ in every respect from Chartres or Notre Dame de Paris, but the humble student of history has no stake in that game. He is free to wonder at the glory that a supposedly benighted people could accomplish—and then free to wonder where the real artistic darkness is to be found, then or now.”

I'm finally on Truth Social. Woo hoo! Still figuring out how I want to use it and these Telegram channels I've set up, but it will all sort itself out.
