We Made An Easy Squirrel Feeder Picnic Table

I mentioned in Simple Living This Week No. 90 that Caroline wanted to make a squirrel feeder picnic table. We found plans for an easy one on YouTube that is made from one just one board. It’s been done for weeks, but David had to get it painted and it was too humid to do it for quite some time.

But it’s done!

It’s really cute and was as easy as the video promised. David painted it with our deck paint to give it a good chance of lasting quite some time.

Although it’s supposed to be for squirrels, we’ve only had birds on it so far. But we don’t mind. It’s still fun to watch them up close.

This would be a great addition to a squirrel-themed learning unit. If you are interested in making one, here’s the video we used!

Enjoy!

I love it! Caroline and David did a great job! Now the squirrels (and birds!) will feel like they are dining in a 5 star restaurant. 🙂 I’m sure it won’t take long for the squirrels to find it too.

      Hi Amanda,

Thanks! So far it’s been mostly cardinals and a very busy chipmunk with very large cheeks. LOL!
